Jon Newby and Dan Miller have been friends since ... well they can't think that far back, they just know that most things were in black and white.  One thing was certain, no matter how far apart life took them, whenever they got together it was like old times.

So, when Dan relocated back to Michigan from North Carolina, the first thing he did was reconnect with Jon.  They shared stories over dinner and drinks, eventually they got to talking about doing something they'd always wanted to do - opening their own place.  Thus, the beginning of Joe Shmoe's Bar & Grill.

Why Joe Shmoe's?  Dan would say it's because Jon couldn't remember anyone's name, but it goes deeper.  They both have always had a diverse friendship base and acquaintances galore!  A persons background never mattered - just the person!  Hence, they wanted to open a place for any Joe Shmoe to come and feel welcome.

Joe Shmoe's Bar & Grill offers a relaxed setting where laughter flows as freely as the conversation. Come as you are, and leave with a satisfied heart, a full stomach, and a smile.
